Welcome to SWOG !

Social Workers Group (SWOG) is a non-profit, independent and service oriented social organization. Since its establishment as a loose organization in 1988 and formally registered in 1990. It has been helping the poor, marginalized and vulnerable communities who do not have access to mainstream and are deprived from social services and facilities. All programs are implemented  on the basis of need/demand of locality/community.

SWOG has been working in the sectors of Well Construction, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Post ODF/Total Sanitation Program, Disaster Management & Climate Change Adaptation, Natural Resource Management, Women Empowerment And Sustainable Livelihood, Poverty Reduction, Food & Agriculture, Education & Health, Earthquake Relief Program. Our Programme has been implemented in 7 districts i.e. Udaypur, Saptari, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Gorkha, Kaski and Dang district.

Having established its own office building at Triyuga Municipality of Udayapur district, it has been doing its services and piloting activities and programmes.

Mission

Empowering the disadvantaged groups of the Nepalese society by strengthening their organizational capacity.

Goal

To unite the underprivileged community and make them capable to raise their voice to secure their rights.

Objectives

In response to this mission , the main objectives of SWOG are as below :

(a) To develop friendly relationship among workers involved and active in various social organizations.

(b) To give active contribution in nation development works by maintaining relationship with national and international organizations.

(c) To maintain working coordination among organizations having same objectives.

(d) To prepare and conduct programs necessary to enhance capacity of community development workers.

(e) To preserve social workers

(f) To provide necessary suggestion and advice to the developing staged ofegnizations.

(g) To prepare, make assessment and execute community development related programs (education, drinking water and santation, livelihood and disaster management).

(h) To provide all best contribution in development programs as determined by the His Majesty’s Govemment.

(i) To operate other programs for fulfillment of above stated objectives.
